The 50th Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii
RELIVING AT POMPEII is a documentary film realized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the shooting of the film Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, to pay tribute to the Archaeological Park and to the intuition Maben had to use the Amphitheatre as a set for the concert movie. The narrative is divided into five short episodes on the creative moments and the difficulties the director experienced, in an intimate journey through the external and internal places of the Archaeological Park and the city of Pompeii, to go to the origins of that intuition which led later to the first take of his film. The episodes narrate the genesis of the film, shooted even before the huge success of “The Dark Side of the Moon” - which later became “cult” - contextualizing it to the present day, targeting a new audience in 2021.
