Stop Body Shaming
Confirming its commitment to ethical and social issues, Magister Art, after obtaining the ecovadis gold medal in 2022, conceived and produced the video #I_M_PERFETTO.
The video, addressing the issue of body shaming, combines art and reality by putting the body in its physical and psychological forms at the center of the scene. Putting next to each other artworks, from the Cerasi collection of Palazzo Merulana, and real faces, representing the everyday life that is too often silent, #I_M_PERFETTO promotes a strong message, to raise awareness on relevant social topics, including the notion of beauty, self-perception and eating disorders. The video contributions were made by: Martina Semenzato, Ilaria Cavo, Violeta Benini, Laura Dalla Ragione, Beatrice Carbone and Alice De Bortoli.
The video was presented on May 16, 2023 on the occasion of a conference on the denigration of physical appearance (body shaming) and the consequence this can have on eating disorders, at the Italian Chamber of Deputies. The meeting, conceived by MP Martina Semenzato and moderated by the Journalist and TV Presenter Safiria Leccese, was an opportunity for profound reflection on the subject, also thanks to the contributions made by the following speakers: Prof. Renato Brunetta, President of CNEL; Alice De Bortoli, Presenter and Content Creator; Beatrice Carbone, Former Solo Dancer of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Giulia Accardi, Model and Author of the book “The power of imperfection”; Violeta Benini, Obstetrician, Author and Science Populariser; Maddalena Patrizia Cappelletto, President of the National Coordination of Eating Disorders; Giuseppe Rauso, President of the Consult@noi Association; Laura Dalla Ragione Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist, Director of the DCA USL1 Umbria Network and Director of the SOS National Toll-Free Number for Eating Disorders of the Presidency of the Italian Council and of the Italian Higher Institute for Health.
