The world tour of the exhibition MARMO | MARBLE. CARVING THE FUTURE starts in Algeria and represents an unprecedented transmedia and touring exhibition format, promoted and organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Confindustria Marmomacchine, the Italian Association of Producers and Processors of Marbles, Granites and Natural Stone, and ITA Agency, with the artistic and creative direction of Magister Art.
This touring exhibition format is part of a strategy, developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for an integrated promotion of Italian excellences, in this case the marble industry. The purpose is to describe the industry rich heritage of expertise and traditions by emphasizing an evolution made of research, innovation and advanced technology.
The exhibition is accompanied by an original soundtrack, composed to connect each exhibition space through an immersive soundscape, leading visitors through an experience of strong emotional and perceptual impact.
The exhibition in Algiers is promoted by the Embassy of Italy in Algiers and by the Italian Culture Institute of Algiers in partnership with the Algerian Ministry of Culture. Opening on 9th of May, the exhibition is hosted at Palais de la Culture, an important Arab Islamic architecture, named after the Algerian poet Moufdi Zakaria and inaugurated in 1984 to host cultural and scientific events.
