Centro Nacional de las Artes | Mexico
18.04.2021 - 20.06.2021
The spectacular exhibition Magister Raffaello reaches audiences in every corner of the world, overcoming the barriers of these challenging times. After debuting in Vietnam, at the Hanoi Museum, and in Austria, at Ars Electronica Center in Linz, Magister Raffaello now goes to Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART) in Mexico City, thanks to the support of theItalian Ambassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City.
CENART is an institution dedicated to the promotion and teaching of the arts. In an area of 12 hectares, with architectures designed by the architect Luis Barragán, winner of the Pritzker Prize and by Ricardo Legorreta Vilchis, it is possible to enjoy a rich cultural offer with art schools, theatres, as many as six art galleries, spaces for outdoor events and gardens, frequented by citizens and the students.
Conceived to celebrate the 500th anniversary since Raphael’s death, the exhibition is curated by the art historian Claudio Strinati, with the contribution of Federico Strinati and a scientific committee comprising leading experts on Raphael’s art. Magister Raffaello is the third project of the format Great Masters (after the exhibitions Magister Giotto and Magister Canova).
All the contents developed are intended for a multitarget audience and will be made available through an App that comes in 3 languages (Italian, English, Spanish) and 2 versions, one for adults and one for children. The contents designed for kids are accompanied by original texts and images by Eva Montanari, an author and illustrator who has published books for children since 2000. Antonio Fresa, musician, composer and author of award-winning film scores, provides the music accompanying the narration.
